The deep roots of the Mariani family

Our first steps date back to 1914 when, under the expert guidance of Anselmo Mariani, the first historic Fornace al Ferrone was built, formerly renowned for the production of bricks and precious building materials.
Inspired by the successes of his father, his son Angiolo Mariani pushes the family business to devote himself to ceramic art, making precious artistic terracotta by hand faithfully following the traditional clay processing techniques.

The centuries-old tradition of four generations

Angiolo Mariani's deep affinity for this eternal profession led him to found the M.I.T.A.L. (Imprunetan manufacture of artistic terracottas and bricks), later managed by his three sons Luigi, Franco and Enrico, who today is appreciated and recognized as excellence.
In addition to the brand, the Mariani family also decided to renew its artistic production by enriching its repertoire with new and original pieces of craftsmanship, obtained by hand-working the classic Impruneta terracotta and used for both the internal and external environments of residences and villas.
The fourth generation of the company are Marco and Vittorio, Angiolo's grandchildren who, while maintaining the roots of tradition, look to the future, especially in the areas of marketing and communication.

Our devotion and our love for the world of terracotta have never stopped. For years we have carried out a meticulous research path on the lines and proportions of the finishes of our products.
Our expert hands today produce high quality furnishing works, such as basins, vases, jars, boxes, but also garden ornaments and wall and pillar decorations. In addition, we also specialize in sculptures, statues and figures of various sizes, an artistic discipline that is renowned and appreciated by a large clientele all over the world.
